Even with all the detours, this linear view of life fills us with anxiety as we try to dodge the finish line. But what if we look at our life journey as a circle that follows a cycle … just as the moon cycles around the earth, and the earth cycles around the sun?

The most well known indoor labyrinth is at the Chartres Cathedral in France, built in the early 13th century. Since the labyrinth was "rediscovered" in the 1990s, a modern day labyrinth movement has emerged. In the US and around the world, labyrinths can be found in churches and healing centers. Most labyrinths are built outdoors, but some can be found indoors, painted onto floors.
